Time Forgotten in the Mississippi Delta

On a recent trip to the Mississippi Delta Region, Pete and I pasted many of these scenes. I could almost hear the blues singing as we traveled down the back roads of this wonderful area. Finally, before leaving we decided to look for a scene that might resemble some of the past. This scene to me represents to me what once was the normal here. The old homestead near the fields where most labored day after day. You could image the stories this abandoned home could tell. The people who grew up here and the stories they could share. It's all gone now, but somehow continues to live. I used a Canon 1Ds Mark III on a tripod, 17mm,  ISO 100, F 8 combining three different shots to make this HDR image. The moment in time was captured on November 30, 2013 at 11:45 am.

Great shot Steve! I can't wait to go and visit this area that you and Pete brought to life with your photos and videos.
