Guestbook for Chickamauga
These photos are at the Chickamauga Battlefield below Chattanooga, Tennessee. I have always loved Civil War history as both my great, great, grandfathers were engaged in this conflict. My grandfather, Burl Moore, CSA, 9th Tennessee Infantry was captured here on September 19, 1863. He was held prisoner at Point Pleasant, Maryland. He walked home after the war was over,. It took him 33 days. My other grandfather, Col Stapleton Crutchfield, CSA, 16th Virginia, was an artillerist, serving under Gen Stonewall Jackson. He died April 6, 1865 at the Battle of Saylors Creek, just three days before Lee surrendered at Appomattox. This is a special place for me and I'm sure many of you would enjoy a peaceful visit to this National Battlefield,
